Geosyntec Consultants of NC, PC (Geosyntec) has prepared this per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Mass Loading Protocol (“Mass Loading Protocol”) on behalf of The Chemours Company FC, LLC (Chemours) pursuant to the requirements of Paragraph 1 (a) and (b) of the Addendum to Consent Order Paragraph 12 (CO Addendum).

The objective of this appendix is to estimate the mass discharge from the identified PFAS transport pathways using a Cape Fear River mass loading model developed and described in the Cape Fear River Mass Loading Calculation Protocol Version 2 (Geosyntec, 2020a) and to assess the relative contributions by pathway.
