COMMITTED TO RESPONSIBLE CHEMISTRY
How We’re Building a More Sustainable Future Through Our 2030 Goals.
DOWNLOAD THE 2024 REPORTOur 2030 Goals
Committed to making chemistry as responsible as it is essential.
Our ambitious 2030 Corporate Responsibility Commitment (CRC) goals challenge us to apply strategic foresight, navigate disruption, and continually innovate. These goals guide us in delivering next-generation, sustainable solutions that support the evolving needs of the industries we serve. They also help ensure our products are manufactured responsibly to minimize environmental impact and protect our communities.
Following the completion of our first Double Materiality Assessment, we began refreshing our 2030 CRC pillars and goals to better align with the sustainability risks, impacts, and opportunities most critical to our business and stakeholders. These insights help us stay aligned with the expectations of our stakeholders and the dynamic needs of our business.
As part of this evolution:
- Several goals are being refreshed, or integrated into business processes after being achieved.
- New overarching aspirational statements, aligned with our company’s strategic priorities, have been established, providing us with the flexibility to expand our current goals and introduce new ones in future sustainability reporting.
This ongoing refinement ensures our CRC goals remain a living framework—one that drives accountability, innovation, and long-term value creation.

Completing Our First Double Materiality Assessment
In 2024, Chemours completed its Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) to better identify and understand the sustainability risks and opportunities most relevant to our business and most impactful to our stakeholders. This assessment enhances our ability to align with emerging global sustainability disclosure standards, including the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
To ensure our DMA remains current and actionable, we will regularly update it through:
- Employee interviews across departments and levels
- Advanced business intelligence tools
- Industry benchmarks and best practices
The Chemours Sustainability Council, along with leaders from our three business units, will continue to review and validate the findings. Their insights help ensure that our sustainability priorities are grounded in both data and real-world business needs.
The results of the DMA will be integrated with other strategic inputs to:
- Identify key focus areas
- Refine our sustainability commitments
- Enhance our disclosure practices
By embedding these priorities into our strategy, business models, risk management, and governance, we aim to drive long-term value and commercial success. As we continue to evolve, the priority topics identified through our DMA may shift to reflect new insights and stakeholder expectations.
