Supplier Code of Conduct
Our Procurement organization is committed to building a sustainable supplier base that serves the interests of all Chemours stakeholders, as well as our commitment to responsible environmental stewardship and zero tolerance for discrimination of any sort, fraud or unethical behavior, unsafe working conditions, and all human rights violations. Suppliers are required and expected to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which you can find on the right side of this page.
We measure our suppliers’ sustainability performance with EcoVadis.
We have our suppliers’ sustainability performance assessed in the areas of environment, social, ethics and supply chain. EcoVadis is our partner that provides methodology to collect and measure supplier sustainability performance. We ask our suppliers to complete the EcoVadis assessment on a yearly basis to assess their progress and we work with them on improvement areas.

Chemours is a member of Together for Sustainability (TfS), a joint initiative and global network of chemical companies that delivers the de facto global standard for environmental, social and governance performance of chemical supply chains. Chemours’ Responsible Supplier Awards
Chemours launched the Responsible Supplier Awards in 2020 to acknowledge the companies that have distinguished themselves by driving quality, innovation, and sustainability improvements in Chemours’ supply chain.
All Chemours’ suppliers who hold a valid sustainability scorecard* are eligible for the Responsible Supplier Awards.
Chemours issues 4 Responsible Supplier Awards:
- Indirect, Direct, and Logistics, for suppliers that have demonstrated the most notorious year over year improvement in their sustainability performance.
- Star Supplier Award: for the supplier with the highest score, regardless of the category or whether there was an improvement compared to the previous year.
*Chemours considers valid sustainability scorecard those issued by EcoVadis and it could expand this definition to other scorecards issued by other third parties that follow international methodologies with wide acceptance.
