The Value of Brands
"For a new company, having famous brands like Teflon™ and Ti-Pure™ is like starting a relay race with the first two legs already won."
On My Playlist
"My first career was singing opera, so there is music by the late Dame Joan Sutherland, a dear family friend, and Luciano Pavarotti, among others. Hmmmmm, and there's German lieder baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and jazz vocalist Ella Fitzgerald . . . two performers who have given me hours of pleasure."
A Passion for Words
"I had a wonderful 8th grade English teacher who truly loved the way language works. She helped me see the connection between rules of grammar, sentence structure, and the expression of ideas. I was such a geek. My favorite thing (besides singing) was diagramming sentences. I did not sit at the popular kids' table in the lunchroom, as you might guess.
