A Strong Disinfecting Agent Approved to Kill SARS-CoV-2 virus, the cause of Covid-19
Covid-19 is caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. Chemours’ Glyclean Hard Surface Cleaner formulation is registered with the EPA to kill the SARS-CoV-2 the cause of Covid-19 illness.
Formulation Testing
Testing was done utilizing the Glyclean™ Hard Surface Cleaner formulation with a 5% Glyclean™ D70 active ingredient concentration that has been EPA registered. Testing was conducted to determine efficacy on hard, non-porous surfaces using EPA accepted test methods for germicidal sprays as disinfectants. This testing was conducted in the presence of a 5% or 1% fetal bovine serum organic load to allow for a one-step clean and disinfect claim. The data for both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as several viral strains, are presented below. Bactericidal and viricidal activity (i.e., complete kill, expressed as % reduction) was achieved in 10 min.
