Handling Recommendations for Dry TiO2 Pigment
TiO2 Package Stacking Recommendations
The packed density of dry TiO2
grades has a direct effect on package stacking stability. Chemours recommends the following guidelines for safely stacking pallets of TiO2
pigment to minimize the risk of stacks falling over:
- TiO2 grades packaged in flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs, including cardboard paneled SBRCs) of one-half or one tonne weight should be stacked no more than two pallets high.
- TiO2 grades other than R-101, and R-931, which are packaged in 50 pound or 25 kilogram bags, should be stacked no more than three pallets high.
- Ti-Pure™ grades R-101, and R-931, which is packaged in 50 pound or 25 kilogram bags, should be stacked no more than two pallets high due to its low density.
