Teflon™ PFA HP has a successful history of reliable use in semicon manufacture, contributing to higher yields, and bringing high value as tools have been adapted to generations of chips and changes in the manufacturing process.
Chemours is now proud to announce the introduction of the latest advance in Teflon™ PFA polymers: the development of Teflon™ PFA HP Plus.
This new generation of family of Teflon™ PFA polymers provides increased reliability in semicon fluid handling applications two ways:
- Components last much longer in dynamic applications.
- Components are resistant to fluorosurfactant stress cracking.
The increased part life and reliability will provide a lower "cost of ownership" for fluid handling systems.
Teflon™ fluoropolymers for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
The story of PFA HP was one of a fully fluorinated structure with the lowest number of reactive end groups. We now build upon that chemistry with its proven reliability in critical fluid handling applications, and sculpt the fluoropolymer "morphology," i.e., the structure of the solid polymer, to develop greater mechanical toughness and component reliability.
