Thanksgiving ‘Tater Tips


--Easy to pop them into the oven and serve as is, but they can also be a delicious dessert. Sweet potato meat is turned into pies and mixed into cookies, but we have them here for breakfast. Add granola to a warmed-and-buttered baked sweet potato along with a dollop of whipped yogurt or cream and maple syrup.

--Make extra potatoes while the oven is cranking out the holiday meal; they make great sides during the week after Thanksgiving.

--Sweet potatoes are loaded with antioxidants, so have them all year long.
--Easily turned into a holiday dish, baked sweet potatoes can be sliced or made into mashed potatoes with a regular potato recipe… to which you can add a sprinkle of ginger and brown sugar and then bake to warm through in a pan with Teflon™ nonstick coatings; finally top with a favorite granola, coconut, and toasted walnuts.
