Stone Cold

  Wrapping up the fruits of the fading summer season is not hard to do. Farm Markets and grocery stores are offering great values on end-of-year-produce. This can make for an inexpensive way of passing along gifts throughout the winter.

Fruits with stones (large pits) make terrific put-away fruits you can serve cold or warmed up in a saucepan with Teflon™ nonstick coatings and simply served over toast or pancakes. These peaches were properly preserved and then tied up into a glass-faceted screw-top jar.
