Pasta Kielbasa with Cheese ‘n Peas

Servings: 4 to 6

Have fun with this recipe title for kids of all ages, and enjoy this mélange of peppy ingredients.



1 pound tricolor bow-tie pasta

1 pound kielbasa sausage

1 cup green peas

2 tablespoons olive oil

Black pepper

1 cup drained chickpeas

1 cup diced white Cheddar cheese

In a large pot with Teflon™ nonstick coatings, cook the pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile in a large skillet with Teflon™ nonstick coatings, saute the kielbasa until a light golden brown. When the pasta is almost ready, add the green peas to the boiling water and cook until tender. Drain both and, using a large spoon, gently coat with the oil by turning the pasta.

Transfer the pasta and green peas into a large bowl; season with pepper. Toss with the cooked sausage and chickpeas. Dot with the Cheddar and serve.
