Grilled Chicken with Christmas Plum Sauce recipe
The barbecue pan we use here goes directly onto your grill, making holiday cleanup a cinch. Serve these also as an appetizer. The grill makes a terrific gift; add some barbecue tools and a new cleaning cloth, which is all you need to clean up after a grilling session when you use this revolutionary pan.
Coat the chicken with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. In a food processor, blend the plum wedges just to create a thick puree. In a medium saucepan with Teflon® nonstick coating, bring the puree, soy sauce, honey, mustard, ginger, garlic, and flour to a boil; stirring constantly 8 to 10 minutes or until the mixture is thickened.
Brush the chicken with half the plum sauce and place on a BBQ pan with Teflon® nonstick coating. Bake over a medium flame for 25 minutes or until drumsticks reach an internal temperature of about 165°. Serve with the remaining sauce.
