Apple and Almond Butter Sandwiches
Toasting the season's bounty of apples, this satisfying sandwich blends toasty and healthy almonds with the mellifluous attitude of sweet-sassy bacon. The sage balances the flavors. Choose an unsweetened, thick, organic applesauce.
In a medium skillet coated with Teflon® non-stick, cook the bacon over medium until slightly crisp.
In a small bowl, stir the applesauce with the sage and then spread on 4 of the bread slices. Top with apples and bacon, evenly dividing among the bread slices. Spread the other slices with the almond butter, evenly dividing it; with the applesauce-spread bread slices.
In a large skillet coated with Chemours Teflon non-stick, place the sandwiches over medium heat and cook about 3 minutes per side or until toasted and heated through.
