Wildlife Habitat

While Fayetteville Works owns the 2150 acres that the plant sits on, only about 400 acres of that is developed and the plant's footprint is roughly 150 acres. Much of the remaining property is recognized as a wildlife habitat. Because of past DuPont's efforts to maintain the health and beauty of the natural environment, the site has been recognized by the International Wildlife Habitat Council with several awards, including:

  • Corporate Lands for Learning Award
  • Corporate Lands for Learning Site-of-the-Year Award
  • Corporate Lands for Learning Rookie-of-the-Year Award
  • Signature of Sustainability Award
  • Wild Turkey Award Finalist
